Response paper:

Choose either sutra 1, 2 or 5. Write a 1-2 page paper that includes the following:

• The sutra written out in English
• Describe in your own words your understanding of this sutra without quoting Swami-ji’s commentary.
• End your paper with one short paragraph that describes how you might apply the teaching in this sutra in your daily life.

Paper for the Sanskrit track:

Choose one sutra from sutras 1-9. Write a 1-2 page paper that includes the following:

• The sutra written out in Devanagari
• A definition of each word in the sutra
• Choose one Sanskrit term in this sutra. Write about the way this term is used in the philosophical system of Kashmir Shaivism.
