Truly we all have one voice, and that is the voice of God, the voice of the Truth. It is within each one of us… When you meditate, when you contemplate, when you concentrate, you get in touch with this voice. That is what you truly want to do: get in touch with this voice, the deepest part of your being. — Gurumayi Chidvilasananda
To prepare for MAY 18th:
Go back over your experience of this entire course: your journals, the online resources, and your experiences both in and out of class. Choose an experience, relationship, persona, or life situation that is calling to you. Find a teaching that is relevant to the issue you are working with, and explore the spiritual art of contemplation. Weave any insights that come through your practice into your story.
Try to set time aside to play with this at least once every few days. Don’t forget that journaling, meditation, chanting, and mantra can support your clarity and intention to open up to the wisdom of the heart. Remember: all the teachers of the course are available to you. If you would like to talk about this assignment, or anything else that has come up for you in relation to this course, please email one of us.
In our next class we will all present our contemplated stories. Please come to class prepared to SPEAK YOUR TRUTH! You may use any medium that you would like: writing, poetry, performance, art, music… be creative!
We will reserve about 10 minutes each; if you feel that you might need more time, please let Karen know by Wednesday, May 15th.
