We will begin our work together by contemplating the question: What is yoga?

To prepare for our discussion of this question in class, please complete the following assignments:

Written exercise:

  • Consider your own answer to this question. Jot your thoughts down on a piece of paper. Make a list of the ideas that most clearly express your own thoughts and feelings.
  • Set your list aside for a while. Come back to it later and see if there is anything further that you would like to add, or anything that you would like to delete.
  • Express the essence of your answer to the question in 1-3 sentences, using no more than 50 words.
  • Please write down your answer and bring it to our first class together on Tuesday, June 19th.
